Chamber Choir Ancora
Chamber choir Ancora was founded in 1998 in Kuopio,
Finland, and the principal agenda of the choir has ever since been
to be visible, audible and influential among Finnish choirs.
In 1998–2018 the Kuopion musiikinystävät (Friends of Music in
Kuopio) Society functioned as the background organization of the
choir. In 2018, the choir joined the new Society, The Savonia Musical
Society as its vocal group.
Our singers live in the vicinity of Kuopio but we have members also
in other parts of the County of Northern Savo and eastern Finland.
